Success doesn’t happen overnight.

The sudden rise of Canada to become a world-leading tennis nation was a long work in progress, starting from the grassroots levels and working up to the highest levels of the sport.

Just look at the last two seasons. The country has twice been crowned World Champions, winning the Billie Jean King Cup crown in 2023 and a historic Davis Cup title in 2022. Such feats seemed unthinkable just a decade ago.

Beyond the team achievements, Bianca Andreescu was a first-ever Grand Slam singles champion in 2019 at the US Open. Leylah Annie Fernandez reached the finals in 2021.

Both Félix Auger-Aliassime and Denis Shapovalov have achieved Top 10 rankings, and veterans like Milos Raonic (a 2016 Wimbledon finalist) and Vasek Pospisil (Davis Cup winner, 2014 Wimbledon doubles champion) have helped pave the way for future generations.

Why you should Donate

So how is this success all possible? With support from all of you.

Donors have played a massive role in the rise and growth of Canadian tennis in the last several years.

Along with investment in our athletes, key initiatives have been introduced to further support the tennis community. These include: safe sport measures, mental health programs, and the promotion of gender equity.

Even during the challenging years of the COVID-19 pandemic, tennis persevered, returning to host the National Bank Open in 2022 and 2023, and setting new attendance records in Canada.

Now, with an ambitious five-year strategic plan for further growth and development around the country, we’re better positioned now than ever.

It is truly the golden age of Canadian tennis, with popularity at an all-time high, and talents awaiting in the pipeline for further professional success.

There is no better time to invest and join us in growing this beautiful sport.
