Canada’s best performance at the Pan Am Games came on home soil in Toronto in 2015, played at Sobeys Stadium, the home of the National Bank Open presented by Rogers. Canada won two medals with Gabriela Dabrowski leading the way – winning a gold in women’s doubles alongside Carol Zhao, and a silver in mixed doubles with Philip Bester.
Their podium performances brought Canada’s Pan Am Games tennis medal haul to a total of six throughout history, dating back to a silver in men’s singles from Robert Bedard in Chicago in 1959. Tennis has been contested at the Pan Am Games since the event’s inception in 1951.
